The Records Division is under the command of Lieutenant James Crawford.
When a member of the public needs a copy of an Incident/Offense or Accident report, the seven employees of the Records Division are there to help.
Responsibilities
The Records Division has the daunting task of receiving all police reports, checking them for errors, scanning them for electronic retrieval and entering pertinent information into our records management computer system.
Early History
Last year our Records Division processed nearly 40,000 reports!
Currently, copies of Alabama Uniform Traffic Accident Reports are available online here.
There is a nominal fee for these reports.
In the near future, Incident/Offense reports will be available online as well. Check back often for the latest news.
