Curbside Recycling

Announcement
The City has expanded its curbside recycling service! The service is now available to 60% of the residential homes in the city limits. To see if your area is offered curbside recycling and to find out what your collection day is click this link: Curbside Routes. If your area is not currently offered curbside recycling, please submit a request for future expansion through Tuscaloosa 3-1-1.

About the Service

Enthusiastic and full participation will help speed up the process of achieving citywide curbside recycling service.

Containers

A special container is provided to each participating residence for use in the collection and storage of recyclables.

The container remains the property of the City of Tuscaloosa and should be left at the residence should you move.

Recycling Bin

Complete List of Materials

A complete list of materials accepted in the program and the proper method of preparation is included on this site.  Please take a few minutes to read over and study it.

Proper preparation and separation minimizes the chance of contamination and rejection by the recycling processor, making our job easier and increasing the material value.

Drop-Off Sites

Recycling drop-off sites are available for residents living outside of neighborhoods currently included in curbside service, so remember to Recycle and “Make a Difference”.

Curbside Routes are available by clicking the link.
